Gearing up for a new adventure
Well folks, it's been awhile since the last post, but I'm dusting off the old blog because there's a new adventure on my horizon! After conquering the wilds of urban Spain, coming home to (finally) earn my Bachelor's degree, and serving for 10 months in an AmeriCorps program, I have chosen to continue my life of poverty and service by signing on as an intern with the NPS through the Student Conservation Association.
Translation? Come June 26th I will be loading up my trusty Ford and moving to Arizona for three months of hiking, presentations, and collecting park fees at Montezuma's Castle and Tuzigoot National Monuments.
Just for perspective I have not been west of New York state since I was about one year old, which doesn't count as far as I'm concerned. This trip will combine so many things that I have been dreaming of– the freedom of the open road, the allure of the Southwest, a summer job that is actually out of doors…
I can't wait to begin posting pictures and telling stories!
